Privacy Policy

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Local Data (stored on your device only):

  • Flashcard decks and cards you create
  • Study progress and statistics
  • App preferences and settings
  • Images you add to cards

Data Processed by Third-Party Services:

Google Sign-In (optional):

  • Email address (for account identification)
  • Basic profile information

Used only to identify your account for Google Drive backup.

Google Drive (optional):

  • Encrypted backup files stored in your personal Drive

Your backups are encrypted and only accessible by you.

Google AdMob:

  • Device advertising ID
  • General location (country/region)
  • App usage data for ad personalization

You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

  • To provide flashcard study functionality
  • To enable cloud backup and restore (optional)
  • To display advertisements (free version)
  • To improve app performance and fix bugs

3. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

  • All flashcard data is stored locally on your device
  • Database is encrypted using SQLCipher (AES-256)
  • Backups are encrypted before upload to Google Drive
  • We do not have access to your flashcards or study data

4. YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR/CCPA)

You have the right to:

  • Access your data (all stored locally on your device)
  • Delete your data (use "Delete All Data" in Settings)
  • Opt out of personalized ads (in device settings)
  • Disconnect Google account (in Backup settings)

5. DATA DELETION

To delete all your data:

  1. Open Flux Recall
  2. Go to Settings > About > Delete All Data
  3. Select what you want to delete
  4. Confirm deletion

To delete Google Drive backups:

  1. Use the Delete All Data feature with "Google Drive backups" selected, OR
  2. Go to drive.google.com and delete the Flux Recall folder

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Flux Recall is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
